[VIDEO] Trinetta Chong Apologized For Using F*** Word During Speech

Trinetta Chong, a 23-years old could not hold her horses during her speech on the stage.

Trinetta Chong, a Nanyang Technological University (NTU) valedictorian has apologised for using the F-word in her graduation speech last Friday, saying it was said in the "spur of the moment". used a vulgarity during her valedictory speech.

Nanyang Technological University's communication studies graduate Trinetta Trinetta Chong gave a speech to inspire and congratulate her schoolmates during the school's convocation ceremony held on campus. "I'm sorry if I offended anyone, as convocation ceremonies are supposed to be family-friendly events," she told my paper.

According to the Yahoo Singapore, Trinetta Chong was addressing about 170 of her classmates and slightly less than 300 post-graduate students at the Nanyang Auditorium, located in the university campus, and concluded her rousing six-minute speech with "We f**king did it!"

OSIM Singapore International Triathlon 2011 Winners

The OSIM Singapore International Triathlon 2011 proved to be a happy hunting ground for a Japanese man and an Australian woman, ESPN Star reports. This year's event at the East Coast drew 3,742 participants.

First time participant Sato Harunobu is the first ever Japanese winner of the Elite category of the 10th OSIM Singapore International Triathlon held at the East Coast Park on Sunday with a timing of 1 hour 51 minutes and 59 seconds. Held over the weekend, the elite races were the highlight as always. It saw more competing in the Olympic distance and kids' race categories.

Syria Army Destroyed Hama City on Eve of Ramadan; Obama Condemns [VIDEO]

Syrian security forces have launched a major assault on Hama, the country's third-largest city, a day before the start of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan. Witnesses said tanks moved into Hama at dawn, shelling civilians. Other towns also erupted in violence in one of the bloodiest days since protests began. The assault has particular resonance for Syrians, as the city of Hama was the site of one of the most horrific massacres in modern history.

The Syrian government has banned Al Jazeera, BBC, C and many other foreign media outlets from reporting from inside the country, making it difficult to verify reports of fighting. The National Organisation for Human Rights, a Syrian activist group, said 136 people were killed in Hama and three other centres across the country on Sunday. US President Barack Obama said reports from Hama were horrifying.

"Once again, President [Bashar al-Assad] has shown that he is completely incapable and unwilling to respond to the legitimate grievances of the Syrian people," he said. "I am appalled by the Syrian government's use of violence and brutality against its own people," Obama said. "The reports out of Hama are horrifying and demonstrate the true character of the Syrian regime. "

Activists say more than 1,500 civilians and 350 security personnel have been killed across Syria since protests began in mid-March. More than 12,600 people have been arrested and 3,000 others are reported missing. Syria-based rights activist Mustafa Osso said the regime had detained more than 4,000 people in raids over the past week as it tries to contain the situation.

American Idol contestant Chris Medina will show his voice-magic at The Presidents’ Star Charity. The Presidents’ Star Charity 2011 aired on July 31 at 7.30pm on MediaCorp TV Channel 5. The Presidents’ Star Charity 2011 hosted by Soo Kui Jien, Gurmit Singh and Glenda Chong, with one of last year's performers, 10-year-old Adelyn Koh from the Singapore Association of the Visually-Handicapped, assuming the role of a co-host.

The President's Star Charity brought together local talents like Taufik Batisah and Hossan Leong, as well as international acts including Il Volo and American Idol contestant Chris Medina.Singapore Idol alumni Sylvia Ratonel, Hady Mirza and Taufik Batisah, joined by multi-talented local celebrities like Kym Ng, Belinda Lee, Alaric Tay, Hossan Leong and Sheikh Haikel.

In addition, Gurmit Singh, Hossan Leong, Sheikh Haikel and Daren Tan will be performing a “four-chord medley” — “35 songs in five minutes!” Gurmit said — and Taufik Batisah and Hady Mirza will be doing a Man In The Mirror duet.

"I've done this for 12 years. I hope that whoever comes (in) as president will find it possible to support this cause and continue Presidents' Challenge and Star Charity each year," said President Nathan.

2014 FIFA World Cup Draw

With the football world descending on Rio for the 2014 World Cup draw, Brazil has called on every football icon bar one. The Executive Committee decided to approve the change of date for the preliminary draw of the 2014 FIFA World Cup, which will be held six months earlier than in the past, in order to allow the confederations to begin their qualifying competitions in good time.

As of 28 July 2011, 175 teams remain in contention for 31 remaining qualification places. England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales await the qualifying draw for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. Round One. On the Preliminary Draw, Blatter said that “I’d like to thank the Organising Committee, the government of the State of Rio de Janeiro and local authorities in the city for the facilities they have put at our disposal for these three days.

 Arsenal took the lead through Robin van Persie, summer signing Gervinho burst down the left and squared for the striker to slot home. Recently, he was the bad stalker in PROM NIGHT. Maybe that's where you know him from.
