GIVEAWAY: A $25 gift card from Tiny Treehugger!!! {CLOSED}

Ok... so, when Pam from Tiny Treehugger offered to send me some cloth diapers to test out... I was VERY nervous. BUT, I had been wanting to try them for quite some time. It kills me a little each time I toss a diaper in the garbage... I have a hard time with waste. :)

Anyway, she sent me 5 to try out and play with. So, off I went... the pooping was the hardest thing for me... I mean really: ewww. I guess there are hoses you can attach to your toilet to wash the poo off... but, I didn't want to invest in one. So... I shake and dip my diapers in the toilet. After a month I was very much used to my cloth diaper routine. We are now using cloth diapers MOST of the time. I use disposable (Seventh Generation) when we go anywhere and at night (or, when she has diaper rash). 

It's seriously saved us a TON of money. Our water bill really has NOT gone up (like my husband thought it would) from washing the 5 diapers every other day. AND: my husband was also against the idea of buying special laundry detergent for our special diapers... well, that was cheap too. Ha! He's so happy we don't have to buy a package of diapers each week! We have been going through a pack of Seventh Generation diapers about every 2 weeks now... 

I definitely recommend giving cloth diapering a chance... the initial investment can be a little spendy... but, in the long run you can save money! We are saving money with just our 5. So, with this giveaway it's the perfect chance to try out your own cloth diaper! OR, to add to your collection if you're already into it. :D

GIVEAWAY: Children's Spirit Hood! {CLOSED}

After 2 months of convincing Ruari this Husky Spirit Hood was not going to eat her or murder our dog... (Yes, I set the hat on Angus right when we got it and he squeaked... convincing Ruari that this hat was evil. Then, I put it on my head to show her it was ok... ummm... that made it worse. <------Fail. :D) I finally got her to put it on! And: she loves it!

Her fear of it has completely disappeared... thank goodness, because this hat is WAY too cute to not be worn! She puts it on her head.... walks to the mirror... smiles... then, takes it off and pats it like it's a real dog. Cuddles it. Shushes it. :) I do that to my hats too. ;)

So, Spirit Hoods was kind enough to send Ruari her choice of any of the children's hats. She chose the doggy (husky) of course. It was between that and the wolf. We love it. It's very cute, has little pockets for little hands, nice and warm over ears, could wrap up like a scarf, has a spot to write in your name... so, you don't get your Spirit Hood mixed up with your buddy's, ALSO comes in adult size (Yes, I think Ruari and I need matching hats), and any hat labled ProBlue donates 10% to save the animal that hat is modeled after. <----super cool. The only thing I'm not fond of: It is dry clean or hand wash only.... I wish I could just throw it in the washer if I needed. :) No biggie though.

Prince Lionheart Sippy Cup giveaway! {CLOSED}

So... I've been using these sippy cups for a couple of months now. I just LOVE them. Before these I was using the Munchkin brand... BUT, these are so much better... what I love... and not like so much about these Prince Lionheart Sippy Cups....


Why I love♥ it:
- I love how simple it is to put the nipple part in.... no need line up any tabs/marks (like with the munchkin). I haven't had it leak yet!
- Dishwasher safe: Ummm... ALWAYS a plus!!!
- It goes from being a baby bottle to sippy cup: I love this. Instead of having to buy sippy cups as your baby gets older... just use the sippy cup upgrade kit to update! Love that.
- It's easy for Ruari to pick up: the soft silicone sides help with this.
- Durable: Ruari seriously throw this thing around and beats it. It's still lookin good!


Downsides:
- The handles are not really attached and spin around: It's not really a big deal now... Ruari has gotten used to it. But, it would have been harder for her to use when she was around a year.
- The sippy nipple can get pushed in: That only really happens when ruari is chewing on it. ;)
- I'd love to see brighter colors: The sippy's can be hard to find when they blend into the massive mess in my diaper bag. Some brighter colors would be fun. :D

Yes: I VERY much recommend this. These sippy cups are my favorite for sure!
