The Tourist - movie review
Well, you know how it is...get to high end actors in a movie..and what can you expect. Especially, if a love interest is involved.
Honestly, I'm never been a big fan of Angelina Jolie. And of course, she has some great fashion in the movie, but she's like watching a barbie doll. I did notice she wore gloves in almost every scene.
Storyline : Elise (Angelina Jolie) sits next to an American tourist, Frank (Johnny Depp), on a train going to Venice. She has chosen him as a decoy, making believe that he is her lover who is wanted for police. Not only will they need to evade the police, but also the mobster whose money her lover stole.
Johnny Depp falls flat on the screen as well in this film. He looked sort of puffy too. I dunno, I yawned a couple of times. Sure you got mobsters and a fast boat scenes, gun shots and the like, but it goes in circles after while with all the twist and turns. I will say...a great movie if you are in the cold and snow and want a min-vacation of warmth and European scenery. But the story and the acting..it didn't do much for me.
