My Free Crappy Portrait

I almost forgot about this! I emailed the talented artists at Free Crappy Portraits to get a free portrait! I sent them the following info:

My absolute most favorite meal would be fried chicken with a glass of wine. <---- classy. I always draw myself with antlers on my head... don't know why. I love shoes. I have a little girl (Ruari, seen in photo) that's 19 months old. She loves... doggies, horsies, oranges, and potstickers.

Bloggy playdate... Fun!

Well... another VERY fun blog gathering... this time it was a playdate. :D My mom, grandma, ruari and I headed up to Washington to celebrate my cousins graduation from high school. SO... of course I had to plan a playdate with some of my favorite fellow bloggers in Washington. We wandered to a fabulous play place that's perfect for little toddlers that like to escape and do naughty things.... ;D SO much fun... except for the part where Ruari fell off a step and landed on her face... :( She now has a blue bruise on her cheek. Poor babe.

It's been a year...

Yup. On Friday the first it was my 1 year blog anniversary. Yup... 1 year! I can't believe it. My first blog post was nothing too exciting... but, I managed to blog at least 5 times a week for the entire year... and 5 times was a slow week.

I love blogging and I'm so happy I started my Paper Mama blog. I had my Paper Lady blog that I've been writing since 2008... but, decided late last year that I didn't really feel like the paper LADY anymore... So, I haven't blogged the paper lady blog for a while now.... The Paper Mama is my blog home.

I remember the day I started this blog... It had been an EXTREMELY tough week emotionally... my post par tum depression was so bad. I need some sort of outlet. Somewhere to meet other mama's that were like me. I entered "The Paper Mama" into blogger... and it was available... So... that's where it started. :)

I am so happy with where this blog has taken me... and I can't wait to see where I go next! :D I love this mama/photography/crafty/blogging world. Thank you!

Probably because Ruari and I aren't totally sick this week. Phew. She still has a runny nose and cough and a MAJOR case of the meltdowns. But, she's better. No fever. :)
