Gettin' Ready for BlogHer.

Yup! Another crazy for BlogHer post! But, you know what... I am so excited! Blogging is a huge part of my life and I'm so happy to meet many of the bloggers I have been reading about and talking to for so long! I'm a little overwhelmed and nervous. I get the random "But, I wont know anyone..." thoughts... which is so silly. I know quite a few bloggers going.

SOOoooo... taking a cue from Mandy from Harper's Happenings I decided to stop putting my BlogHer outfits planning off and shop my closet... I really don't need to buy a bunch of clothes for this conference. I have PLENTY of clothes in my closet to wear (that I'm just now starting to fit back into since I've been working out! Yay!). I wandered through and found a few outfits I'm positive I want to bring.... I plan to bring just three pairs of shoes (Yes.... I have a shoe problem) and about 2 outfits for each day (since I plan on being a sweaty mess). Yes... I know it's not about the outfits... but, I love clothes and I wont having a baby blowing her nose on my dresses (yes, she does that)!

I tried to plan the outfits so I can wear cardigans/accessories over and over again... to pack less... Here's what I'm thinkin so far...

 First outfit from my closet:

Belt: Thrifted ($1. Awesome)

Shoes: THRIFTED. Neat-o.

To do:
- Print out all my tickets for gatherings/etc.
- Plan out my outfits so I pack as little as possible (darn baggage fees!).
- Put together my mini-swag bags from The Paper Mama Shop.
- Freak out a little.
- Break in any shoes I want to wear.
- Make a list of shnizzle I need to pack. This will NOT include my swimsuit....
- I need some sparkle for Sparklecorn. :D
- Buy some earplugs... I'm pretty sure my roomates will snore. Ha ha! I'm kidding. But, really... just in case. ;)
- Ummmm... figure out who's watching my baby during the days.... ha! Yes, I did forget this part. ;)
- Remind myself I shouldn't pack any of my heels... because I will probably regret it and lose a few toenails or something lovely.

Mike and I stepped out for a date night! We finally got to see Harry Potter... and, then we ended the night with some dinner and drinks at a fun wine bar. The weather was so lovely too. :)

Warby Parker's.

So... I have had the same glasses for about... 5 years now? Which is fine... I still like them. BUT, I'm a wee bit bored. I discovered Warby Parker one Sunday morning and instantly fell in love! It's a very young business... but, an awesome one! $95 for every pair of frames! Amazing. AND, in addition to the low cost... Warby Parker donates a pair of glasses for each pair you buy (sort of like TOMS).

Another neat thing.... they have a 5 for 5 program! Yes, they will send you 5 pairs of glasses for 5 days for FREE! They encourage you to try them on... take some photos... and ask your friends what they think! So, that's what I'm doing. Right here. Right now.

Which do you like best? Out of the 5 my favorites are Roosevelt, Miles and Owen. Webb was too tight.... while Thatcher just seemed WAY too big for me. What do you guys think? These 5 have been sent back to their Warby Parker home... and, I may just order another 5, including the 3 I like, with 2 different styles. Hmmmm....

Father's Day 2011

{“Any man can be a father, but it takes a special person to be a dad.”}

Soooo.... can you guess which one of us wasn't very happy about the family photo above? ;D Mike's 2nd father's day was a lovely relaxing one. We spent the day out at my uncles house where I managed to eat 5 gallons of jalapeno popper dip that Mike made... not even joking... it was probably 5 pounds. I'll have to share the recipe... so freakin' yummy. I wish I had some right now... enough about that yummy dip... lets talk about my Living Healthy!

A quick update on my 30 Day Shred (which is more like my Every Day Shred since I've been doing it since the beginning of May. :D). I did actually put myself on a scale and found out I lost 5 pounds. BUT, it's not a weight loss thing for me. It's seriously how my clothes are fitting. And, they are fitting better! I'm so much more comfortable in my old clothes! Yay!

I've just moved onto Level 3 of the shred! Yes... it took me that long to get to it! I actually have to modify the workouts so I'm not jumping on my bad knees... Even though level 3 is WAY more difficult... I think I like it best of all the other levels! Maybe because it seems like it goes by faster? Hmmm... Ok, that's my update!
