Selfie Saturday: Arm's length

I chose the above photo for my Selfie Saturday: Arm's Length shot. So, trying to get an arms length shot with a 50mm lens on is a little challenging! But, I don't want to take my lens off. I love it so much. By the way... to keep my camera "safe" and "waterproof" from the snow... I tied it up in a plastic grocery bag and cut a hole out for the lens to poke through. :) That's how I took these photos of Ruari too.

I ended up taking about 30 photos of myself at arm's length. My other faves are below:

I Heart Faces: Winter Wonderland

I actually took this photo of Ruari and Mike Thanksgiving weekend 2010. We had a white Thanksgiving! It was beautiful. I really love snow. I actually took this photo of them with a plastic bag over my camera... it was snowing REALLY hard!

Why I chose this photo: "This week was ESPECIALLY difficult to choose a winner for the winter challenge. But, even with all the beautiful photos... I kept coming back to this one. I know I say this a lot, but it was so magical! This little baby outside in the cold winter weather. Everything is so soft and fuzzy except for those beautiful eyes: so sharp! Wonderful job!"
